The IDP Emerging Artist Scholarship

About the Scholarship

Inspirata Dance Project is committed to supporting the next generation of dancers in Idaho. Through the IDP Emerging Artist Scholarship, we aim to uplift young artists who show passion, dedication, and a love for dance. This scholarship helps provide financial assistance for dancers ages 10–18 currently enrolled in dance programs in Idaho.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

Be 10–18 years old
Live in Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka, or Twin Falls counties
Be currently enrolled in a dance program or studio
Submit a written essay (see prompt below)

This scholarship is open to dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Please submit a 1–2 page essay responding to the following:
1. Reflect on how dance has influenced your personal growth.
Consider how your training has shaped your mindset, work ethic, confidence, or values both inside and outside the studio.
2. Describe a specific moment or experience when dance made a meaningful difference in your life.
3. Share how you hope to use dance to make a positive impact on others.
This may include leadership, mentorship, teaching, performance, or contributing positively to your dance community.

We are especially interested in thoughtful reflection, personal growth, and how applicants hope to use dance as a force for positive influence.

Deadline & Award Timeline

Applications for the 2026 Emerging Artist Scholarships will be accepted through October 31, 2026.

Award Announcements: Scholarship recipients will be notified individually by email, with public recognition to follow. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient's dance studio.

Scholarship Recipient Recognition

Inspirata Dance Project is proud to celebrate the young artists who receive our Emerging Artist Scholarships!

Scholarship recipients will be recognized by name, dance studio, and scholarship award on the IDP website. This recognition is a condition of accepting the scholarship, and parent or guardian consent will be required for recipients under 18.

Recipients are also welcome to submit a favorite photo to be featured on our website or social media with additional permission. Photos are completely optional.
