The IDP Emerging Artist Scholarship

About the Scholarship

Inspirata Dance Project is committed to supporting the next generation of dancers in Idaho. Through the IDP Emerging Artist Scholarship, we aim to uplift young artists who show passion, dedication, and a love for dance. This scholarship helps provide financial assistance for dancers ages 10–18 currently enrolled in dance programs in Idaho.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be 10–18 years old
     

  • Live in Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka, or Twin Falls counties
     

  • Be currently enrolled in a dance program or studio
     

  • Submit a written essay (see prompt below)
     

This scholarship is open to dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Application Requirements

1. Essay

  • Full name

  • Age

  • Grade

  • Studio/Dance Program

  • Parent/Guardian Name (if under 18) 

  • Parent/Guardian Email

  • Parent/Guardian Phone Number

Please submit a 1–2 page essay responding to the following:
   1.    Reflect on how dance has influenced your personal growth.
Consider how your training has shaped your mindset, work ethic, confidence, or values both inside and outside the studio.
   2.    Describe a specific moment or experience when dance made a meaningful difference in your life.
   3.    Share how you hope to use dance to make a positive impact on others.
This may include leadership, mentorship, teaching, performance, or contributing positively to your dance community.

We are especially interested in thoughtful reflection, personal growth, and how applicants hope to use dance as a force for positive influence.

Deadline & Award Timeline

Applications will remain open until available scholarship funds are fully awarded.
 

Award Announcements: Recipients will be announced publicly at a later date (to be determined). Applicants will be contacted individually via email. Funds must be allocated directly to the dance studio the dancer attends.
